New York—The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) has announced the composition of its executive board and working committees—the network of teams supporting the promotion of colored gemstones and tackling issues faced by the gemstone industry—for the 2007-2009 term.

Heading up the six-member ICA board of directors is newly elected president Andrew Cody of Cody Opal in Australia. In addition to acting as chair of the executive committee, Cody will also serve as chair of the member services committee and as a member of the promotion committee and congress committee—the team charged with selecting the ICA Congress host city and establishing budgets, themes and seminars for the event.

Two new vice presidents have also stepped into their new roles on the board. Edward Boehm of Solano Beach, Calif., will head three ICA committees in addition to his position as co-vice president: chair of the membership committee, promotion committee and congress committee.

Prida Tiasuwan of Bangkok, Thailand, is the second vice president and will also serve as chair of the mining committee/certification committee for mining, co-chair of the special China task force and as a member of the promotion and congress committees.

Rounding out the executive board are Bryan Pavlik of Austria as treasurer, and Emmanuel Piat of France and Fujio Takada of Japan, both co-secretaries. Pavlik, in addition to his position as treasurer, will also serve as chair of the finance committee, chair of the ethics and arbitration committee, co-chair of the administration committee, co-chair of the Web site/technology committee and member of the Congress committee.
