Landau re-launches moissanite in stores
November 20, 2008
Morrisville, N.C.--The Landau chain of accessory boutiques has re-launched the moissanite fine-jewelry category in select locations throughout the country, a decision based upon strong consumer demand and past success with the category.
The chain, part of the Allentown, Pa.-based Hyman Companies, has 95 stores worldwide in exclusive shopping venues.
"It's the right time to re-introduce the moissanite category to our customers," Hyman Companies President Nat Hyman said in a media release. "Today's retail environment is challenging. We need to deliver high-quality products with a value that cost-conscious consumers can appreciate. For us, the proven answer is moissanite."
Customers visiting the Landau boutiques will find classic moissanite designs in 14-karat gold settings. The stores also carry fashion jewelry, hand-jeweled minaudieres, handbags crafted in crocodile and Italian leather, and fine-silk scarves and belts.
"We are extremely pleased that moissanite fine jewelry is once again sold through Landau, particularly given the past success of the category in its stores," Dennis Reed, president and chief marketing officer for Charles and Colvard, creators of moissanite, said in a media release. "Landau's upscale retail locations, coupled with a talented sales staff that understands the sales potential, is a winning combination. Moissanite is the right jewel for these changing times, and Landau clearly recognizes the potential, as do we."
