Reena Ahluwalia wins the North American Tahitian Pearl Trophy

"Ethereal Rhapsody," a pearl necklace by jewelry designer Reena Ahluwalia, is the winner of the 2007-2008 North American Tahitian Pearl Trophy, Dexigner reported.

The Cultured Pearl Association of America, which represents Perles de Tahiti in the United States, recently announced the winners. Companies such as Stylists and Co., Bridal Guide and jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels were represented in the jury.

Ahluwalia also placed second in the both the bracelet and brooch categories.

The designer's prized necklace will move on to the International Awards phase, where it will be judged by an international jury in May.
