Canoa Ranch Golf Club named location for 2007 AGTA golf tournament

Tucson, Ariz.—The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has named the Canoa Ranch Golf Club in Green Valley, Ariz., as the location for the association's 11th annual Coyote Classic golf tournament.

Taking place on Jan. 29, 2007, the tournament, a charity event benefiting Special Olympics, kicks off a line-up of events during the Tucson AGTA GemFair colored-gemstone and cultured-pearl show.

"The AGTA has been dedicated to raising money for the Special Olympics for 24 years. We have been fortunate to have the support of our industry, members and the Tucson community during our annual Coyote Classic charity golf tournament," Douglas Hucker, executive director of the AGTA, said in a press release.

The Canoa Ranch Golf Club, located near the Santa Rita Mountain Range, was voted one of Golf Digest's "New Favorites" in Arizona in March 2006.
