C and A merges with Simon Golub
August 19, 2008
Seattle—Fine jewelry manufacturer Simon Golub and Sons has announced the completion of its merger with C and A Diamonds International of Youngstown, Ohio. C and A, founded in 1990 by Matt Carlozzi, is the branded bridal and loose diamond division of Diamond Trading Co. sightholder Shrenuj and Co., a 105-year-old Mumbai, India-based company that also has sites in Canada and Australia. Carlozzi will continue in his role as C and A's company president, in addition to assuming the role of president of the independent division for Simon Golub and Sons. All C and A Diamonds operations are now being handled at the headquarters of Simon Golub and Sons, a manufacturer and importer of fine jewelry for independent retailers since 1922. "We are very excited about the synergy created between our companies and equally excited to be joining such a highly respected organization as Simon Golub and Sons," Carlozzi said in a statement issued Friday. Andy Harris, chief executive officer and chairman of Simon Golub and Sons, said that the merger strengthens the company's position. "After joining Shrenuj in 2007, the merger with C and A Diamonds further expands and solidifies our position as a great resource for all diamond jewelry and certified loose diamonds to the independent trade," he said in the release. All customer inquiries should be directed to Simon Golub and Sons at (800) 426-7125 or C and A Diamonds at (800) 377-8896.
