Premier Gem now offering online diamond inventory
July 16, 2008
New York—Premier Gem Corp. is the latest
Diamond Trading Co. (DTC) sightholder to offer customers the opportunity to view their inventory on the Internet.
According to a release from the New York-based company, its new, online inventory look-up tool for customers coincides with the relaunch of its Web site,
PremierGem.com.
Visitors to the site will be able to click on the "inventory" button at the bottom of the screen, which will open a new window with instructions on how to log in.
For those who have not signed up for the service, registration can be accomplished on the site in a few steps.
The online inventory will be updated daily, allowing customers to check back frequently to access a wide range of stones.
In addition, the system will include efficient search tools, such as the ability to save "favorite" searches and wish lists, allowing for automatic notification when new stones become available.
"Our new online system enables Premier Gem Corp.'s retail jewelers to respond to their customers' needs 24/7," Premier Gem Director of Sales Nicky Schur said in a media release. "An impressive selection of our inventory will be posted, and only diamonds that are available will be shown. This will eliminate the trouble that may arise from quoting stones that are not accessible."
Some of the company's larger stones, along with natural fancy-colored diamonds, might not be posted for general search and will have to be verified for availability.
Premier Gem has been a DTC sightholder since 1967 and recently had its sight renewed for the 2008-2011 contract period.
In addition to Premier Gem, Ramat Gan, Israel-based DTC sightholder
Dalumi Group announced earlier this month that its inventory is now available online.
Dalumi's site is updated monthly with 500 new diamonds and allows clients to search by shape, color, clarity, carat weight and laboratory.
