New York—Diamond giant De Beers will open up three more retail stores in the United States before the end of the year, according to a release from the company.

New De Beers stores are slated to open in Costa Mesa, Calif., and in Naples, Fla., in November, while a third store is planned for a December opening in Bal Harbour, Fla.

The 700-square-foot Naples store will be located at Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay, and the 700-square-foot Bal Harbour store will be part of the Bal Harbour shops.

The Costa Mesa store, the largest of the three at 1,600 square feet, will be located at South Coast Plaza.

According to De Beers, all three boutiques will feature new collections designed by Creative Director Raphaele Canot, including Talisman, Ice on Fire and Radiance. The boutiques also will carry bridal, high-end jewelry and signature collections, such as Wildflowers.

The openings will bring De Beers U.S. store count to 11.

De Beers first U.S. stores opened in New York and in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 2005, followed by store launches in Las Vegas, Houston and Washington, D.C., in 2007, and in Dallas, Honolulu and San Francisco in 2008.

U.S. cities previously mentioned for De Beers' future retail expansion include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Philadelphia.

In a July 2007 interview, De Beers executive Guy Leymarie told National Jeweler that the company won't hesitate to enter major markets as long as it can secure the right retail space.
