Diamond hunting, anyone?

Plantation, Fla.—Jewelry enthusiasts can channel their inner pirate this holiday season and treasure hunt for diamonds with Matthew's Jewelers.

The Florida-based retailer has teamed up with Masters of the Hunt, a company specialized in tailored hunts, to create a custom diamond treasure hunt at a preferred destination.

The hunt will feature creative clues centered on a chosen theme. Participants can also choose whether a one- or two-carat diamond is at stake. The difference is the price: the one-carat hunt costs $12,000, the two-carat hunt costs $16,000. The cost covers the diamond as well as the participant, his or her partner, and 25 of their friends and family. It also covers a party with a DJ, food, beverages, clues, props and a private design session with Mark Silverman, winner of 10 De Beers Diamond Design Awards and four World Gold Council awards, to create a piece of jewelry with the winner's diamond.
