Las Vegas—Malca-Amit has entered into an agreement with the American Gemological Society (AGS) Laboratories to serve as the lab's New York Consolidation Window in the Diamond District.

Malca-Amit will be providing priority shipping services and real-time tracking information to clients wishing to ship their diamonds for grading to AGS Labs.

From June 6 through the end of August, AGS Labs will offer free shipping for Diamond District businesses wishing to become first-time clients. After the introductory period, first-time clients can take advantage of discounted shipping rates.

"This is a great opportunity for those manufacturers who want to use AGS Laboratories, but until now found the shipping cost prohibitive" AGS Labs Executive Director Peter Yantzer said in a statement. "We're excited to partner with Malca-Amit in this venture as AGS Laboratories and Malca-Amit share a synergistic client-service philosophy."

Clients wishing to take advantage of the Malca-Amit Consolidation Window services may drop diamonds off at the Malca-Amit office located in the lobby of 580 Fifth Ave. at 47th Street, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Malca-Amit will ship to Las Vegas on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and AGS Labs will send out shipments each Wednesday and Friday.

Clients using the consolidation service will receive the lab's standard turnaround time of five business days for diamond-grading results.
