TV journalist Bob Woodruff honored with bracelet

TV journalist Bob Woodruff was honored with this LifeLink bracelet from Michigan jewelry designers Wachler Ultimate Expression.

Troy/Charlevoix, Mich.--Two Michigan jewelers recently honored television journalist Bob Woodruff, who succeeded Peter Jennings as co-anchor of ABC's World News Tonight and was later seriously injured by a roadside bomb while reporting from Iraq.

The jewelers, asked to honor Woodruff during "An Evening with Bob Woodruff" dinner event where the journalist spoke about his experiences in Iraq, presented Woodruff with a complimentary bracelet commemorating his work as a journalist and patriot.

"It was truly an honor to present Bob with one of our LifeLinks bracelets," said artist and designer Link Wachler of Troy, Mich., and co-founder of Wachler Ultimate Expression, along with his brother Glenn of Charlevoix, Mich. "We chose links to represent both his work and life accomplishments."

LifeLinks is a specific type of jewelry with carved images representing values in a person's life. There are more than 200 different links from which to choose, some of which include "balance," "dream," "family," "love" and "legacy."

Woodruff's bracelet included links entitled "writer," "American hero," "truth," "believe and achieve," "family," "stars and stripes," "inspire," "perseverance" and "sacred earth."
