Carolyn Pollack collection celebrates Earth Month

Albuquerque, N.M.--Carolyn Pollack Jewelry has unveiled a new collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings made of recycled sterling silver that the company is using to highlight environmental awareness during Earth Month.

Pieces in the "Mesa Verde" collection feature natural gemstones such as serpentine, malachite and unikite, with designs inspired by the colors and landscape of the American Southwest.

The company said in a media release that the collection is symbolic of Carolyn Pollack Jewelry's philosophy of environmental awareness and that wearers of Mesa Verde jewelry can be proud of the fact that all of the silver is recycled and that they are buying from an environmentally conscious company.

Relios, the manufacturer behind Carolyn Pollack Jewelry, sources recycled silver and gold for its jewelry, continuing a long tradition of dedication to an environmentally friendly business model. During the month of April, Relios is encouraging its 165 employees to "go green" and take active steps to recycle and reduce energy use.

"We take our responsibility to the environment seriously," Relios owner and President Bill Pollack said in a media release. "By using recycled materials and promoting 'green' statement jewelry for Earth Month, we can show everyone our level of dedication to being environmentally conscientious."

Also in celebration of Earth Month, when customers purchase two items of Carolyn Pollack Jewelry at a minimum value of $30, Relios will throw in a tote bag made from recycled materials. In addition, Relios has released a series of six videos giving viewers an inside look at the Relios factory. The videos are available on YouTube, YouTube.com/ReliosJewelry, and viewers can tune in to see all the steps involved in designing and manufacturing Relios Jewelry in an environmentally sound manner.

The Mesa Verde collection will be featured throughout the month of April on the Relios Web site, ReliosJewelry.com.
