PGI caters to demand for platinum chains

New York--Platinum Guild International (PGI) has debuted a new, online Platinum Chains catalog, which it has launched due to increased demand for platinum chains.

The catalog is positioned as an international resource for platinum chains and other semi-finished products, and it will feature a comprehensive database of chain manufacturers engaged in the production of platinum machine-made chains, hand-finished chains, fastenings and semi-finished products.

Manufacturers featured in the catalog hail from China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"Platinum today presents opportunities that have not been available to the jewelry industry for sometime--attractive prices and a low premium over other precious metals," PGI Chief Executive Officer James Courage said in a media release. "This has led to an increased demand for platinum jewelry and a new opportunity for platinum chains. This catalog aims to connect the excellent producers of platinum chains with those in demand--thus generating an opportunity for increased platinum sales for everyone involved."
