| Briana Shook, winner of a PGI and "Glamour" contest, was awarded these platinum wedding rings by A. Jaffe. |
New York—Platinum Guild International (PGI) teamed up with
Glamour magazine to make one bride-to-be's fantasy wedding ring come true.
After reviewing hundreds of soon-to-be-brides' personal videos from May 1 to July 1, PGI and
Glamour picked Brianna Shook from Toledo, Ohio, as the winner. Shook and her fiancé were awarded platinum wedding bands from platinum jewelry manufacturer A. Jaffe.
"I figured that getting the ring of my dreams was completely out of the question," Shook said. "You have made our dreams come true, and we are so grateful."
The contest required each bride-to-be to submit a video on why platinum is her first choice for a wedding ring, how her fiancé found out about the preference and the moment the couple knew their "love went platinum."
Beginning in September, Shook's winning video will be posted on
