Revere Academy announces 2007 Masters Symposium

San Francisco—The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, located in downtown San Francisco, will hold its 2007 Masters Symposium from April 7-29.

During the symposium, the academy will host eight master crafts people from around the world, who will teach two- and five-day workshops in a variety of specialized areas and levels.

Among this year's offerings are courses on: Japanese inlay and engraving techniques, taught by Japanese master metalsmith Naohiro Yamada; textile techniques in metal, from Arline Fisch; working with Argentium, from Cynthia Eid; and a course taught by Harold O'Connor, titled "Dental Techniques for Jewelers," on avant-garde techniques for inlaying metal.

Each week during the symposium, the academy will host a Wednesday evening slide show and reception that will be open to the public.
