Bracelets make strong showing at Grammys

Los Angeles—The Dixie Chicks may have taken home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at Sunday night's ceremony, but wrist adornments took the prize for most popular accessory.

From bangles (worn by Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and Maria Menounos) to cuffs (worn by Beyoncé Knowles, Christina Ricci and Vanessa Minnillo), big and bold bracelets emerged as the most important jewelry trend of the night. Singer Nelly Furtado combined the trends, wearing a Bochic enamel and diamond cuff on one wrist and yellow-gold bangles on the other.

Another, somewhat more surprising trend, was the re-emergence of chandelier earrings, which appeared on celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Fergie and Scarlett Johansson. The tiered drops became trendy several seasons ago, but had waned in popularity during recent awards shows.

Jewelry firm Bochic accessorized several of the night's stars, including Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls, in rose-cut diamond earrings, bangles and rings; Hilary Duff, in smoky quartz and diamond earrings and rose-cut diamond bracelets; and Menounos, in emerald- and rose-cut diamond earrings and rose-cut diamond bracelets.
