Paragon Lake offers custom inventory online
November 14, 2008
Waltham, Mass.—Retailers are already familiar with the online diamond inventories of companies such as M.Geller, eDiamondSelect and GemFind, which allow retail jewelry stores to supplement their own offerings with a vast online inventory of loose diamonds. Now, a company is pioneering a similar program with finished jewelry. Paragon Lake, a virtual marketplace for made-to-order fine jewelry, is leveraging today's Web technology to offer retailers an unlimited inventory, as well as the power to design custom jewelry. The program operates on a simple point-and-click method and requires only an Internet connection and basic computer knowledge. For custom pieces, sales associates can work with their customers to select jewelry price, stone type, stone style, setting preference and more, all while experiencing a 3D, 360-degree view of their piece. Manufacturers for each design are selected from Paragon Lake's network and guarantee delivery in two weeks upon ordering. "We're offering retailers an infinite inventory," Paragon Lake co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Matt Lauzon said in a media release. "We are unveiling thousands of new designs; therefore the consumers' ability to create made-to-order fine jewelry is expanding, infinitely. Paragon Lake allows independent jewelry retailers to create a hassle-free, interactive shopping experience that meets the needs and desires of their customers beyond the display case." The program is available to retailers at no initial cost, and every new partner receives technical support and training. For more information, visit Paragon Lake's Web site, ParagonLake.com.
