MySpace signs up glam new member: Cartier
June 30, 2008
Cartier is advertising its new collection—Love by Cartier—on social networking site MySpace.com,
Advertising Age has reported.
In celebration of the collection, Cartier's
MySpace profile features songs from 12 artists. Users have the option of listening to the tunes on the profile page or downloading them for free from a Cartier mini-site. Within the first few days, the luxury jeweler's profile received 100,000 views.
Cartier's deal with MySpace spans across multiple countries. Travis Katz, managing director of international operations for MySpace, said if Cartier was partnering with a traditional portal or media company, the jeweler would have to deal with a different team in each country.
