H. Stern adorns Fashion Week runways

New York—Three high-profile designers selected H. Stern jewelry to accessorize their runway shows this week at Mercedes Benz Fall Fashion Week 2007 in New York City.

The Brazilian jewelry house's creations appeared on the catwalks of Carlos Miele, Mark Bower and Diane von Furstenberg.

Miele selected jewels from H. Stern's Moonlight, Sunrise, Nouveau Deco and Cobblestones collections to accessorize an apparel collection rich in textures, skins, colors and luxurious materials. A Brazilian native, Miele is known for employing impoverished Brazilian artists, seamstresses and craftsmen.

Bower used gemstone earrings from H. Stern's Antares, Cobblestones and Laces collections to finish the polished and elegant looks of his fall collection. Bower worked with H. Stern in 2004, when he and the jeweler dressed Angelina Jolie for the Academy Awards in a white satin gown and $10 million necklace.

Von Furstenberg used jewelry from her DVF by H. Stern collection to complement the looks in her La Movida apparel line, which was inspired by a recent trip to Spain to launch her jewelry line.
