Elan Luxury to launch Kathy Ireland jewelry line

New York--Jewelry manufacturer Elan Luxury Collections LLC has announced a new line of jewelry designed by Kathy Ireland, the former model and current chief designer and chief executive officer of Kathy Ireland Worldwide.

The new line will feature fine jewelry, including bridal and fashion products, in a variety of collections inspired by the design styles that are among Ireland's hallmarks.

"We are very proud to enter into this relationship with Kathy," Elan Luxury Collections President Nikhil Jhaveri said in a media release. "Her unique and captivating designs, combined with our prime manufacturing capability, will allow us to offer exciting jewelry at family-friendly pricing. We will also offer a comprehensive marketing program to our retail partners that will appeal to the growing community of Kathy Ireland friends."

Jhaveri said in the release that the line has already generated attention from the jewelry industry and that key retailers have committed to adding Kathy Ireland collections to their offerings.

"This new relationship with Elan Luxury Collections is very exciting," Ireland said in the release. "It is the wish of both companies that our designs will bring fashion and excitement to our retail partners and the families they serve. We are delighted that our vision for jewelry has found a beautiful home."

Ireland has previously dipped her hands into the jewelry business. Prior to House of Taylor's Chapter 7 filing, the entrepreneur had a licensing agreement with the company for the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of jewelry under the Kathy Ireland Jewelry brand. In June of 2008, the licensing agreement was terminated.
