JA New York Winter Show opens Sunday
March 07, 2008
New York—The JA New York Winter Show will open this Sunday, with more than 13,000 jewelry professionals expected to converge upon New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for the three-day event.
The National Jeweler Network, organizers of the show, said pre-registration for the March 9-11 event is up 2 percent from 2007, a strong figure given the current state of the market and slowdowns at other jewelry shows.
In addition to such features as the show's elegant Inner Circle pavilion, Designer Showcase and international pavilions, a number of on-site incentives will be available.
The first 300 verified attendees on Sunday will receive JA New York Convenience Cash, which can be redeemed for coffee or snacks on site. The first 100 verified attendees on Monday will receive a $25
BP Gas Card. And the first 50 verified attendees on Tuesday will also receive a $25 BP Gas Card.
Additional show highlights include the New Product Gallery, a showcase of never-before-seen designs, educational seminars from Jewelers of America and the ever-popular Couture Pavilion dedicated to high-end jewelry.
A special "Couture Spring Picks" event will take place at the show on Monday, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will feature exclusive product introductions from top Couture designers, as well as a natural color diamond display. In addition, one lucky attendee will win a natural color diamond raffled off by the Natural Color Diamond Association.
