New York--Jewelry professionals looking for knowledge about the changes in today's industry can attend a panel discussion on Tuesday, April 28, at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.

Hosted by FIT's jewelry design department, in conjunction with the Jewelry Design Professionals' Network and the American Society of Jewelry Historians, the panel discussion will focus on the changes and opportunities taking place in the jewelry industry today.

The panel will include:

--Cindy Edelstein (moderator), an award-winning writer and entrepreneur, as well as the founder and president of the Jeweler's Resource Bureau.

--Michael Coan, chairman of FIT's jewelry Department.

--Jennifer Derrig, president of Internet retail company TheIrishJewelryCompany.com.

--Pam Levine, president of the Levine Design Group.

--Alison Nagasue, independent designer and president of Jewelry Designers Cooperative, a design resource group.

--Duvall O'Steen, manager of PR and promotion for the World Gold Council.

--Jeff Taraschi, marketing and global expert.

The discussion will be held from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the following location:

Fashion Institute of Technology

Seventh Avenue at 27th Street, Building D, New York City

Admission is free of charge.
