Weston, Fla.--Spurred by the economic downturn, a number of marketing groups are upping their services aimed at helping jewelry retailers survive, create brand awareness and grow revenues.

Beverly Hills, Calif.-based JewelryBrands has announced that it will offer marketing, consulting and e-commerce solutions to a select group of fine jewelry, diamond and watch companies in order to open new revenue channels and expand market presence during these challenging times.

In addition, jewelry marketing specialists Porte Marketing Group and Target Mailers have recently announced a new marketing vehicle to help jewelers promote their in-store services and jewelry repairs, areas that can boost both foot traffic and profits.

The marketing groups are offering folded booklets through which jewelers can describe the services they offer. Retailers can also include a customized service and/or repair gift card that is good for a discount or dollar amount on labor.

"Tell us what services you offer and we'll do the rest," Porte Marketing and Target Mailers President James Porte said in a media release.

In addition to repairs, retail jewelers may want to promote such services as custom design, engraving, appraisals, gold buying or pearl restringing.

The booklets are available with six or eight panels. The six-panel version costs $0.99 each, with a minimum order of 500 pieces. The eight-panel booklet, which features a heavier card stock, costs $1.50 each, with a 1,000-piece minimum. Any additional artwork is included in the cost of the eight-panel booklet but is an extra cost for the six-panel booklet.
