MJSA offering members PR services

Attleboro Falls, Mass.--Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) has introduced a new benefit, the PR and Pix Program, to help its member companies best promote their products and services through trade media.

The program provides an array of cost-effective services, including:
  • Preparation of a compelling press release.
  • Arrangements for photography, if needed.
  • Distribution of the release to the trade press.
  • Follow-up with editors to ensure the release has been received.
Peggy Jo Donahue, the former editor in chief of both JCK and Professional Jeweler magazines, who now provides media services to the jewelry industry and is MJSA's director of public affairs, will write the press releases.

Photography is by Daniel Van Rossen, a well-known jewelry and gemstone photographer who shoots MJSA Journal's striking covers. Van Rossen is fully insured and follows strict security procedures.

"MJSA members with a new product or service need a strong, to-the-point press release and crisp, attractive photography to ensure their news stays top of mind with today's busy trade press editors," MJSA President and CEO David Cochran said in the release. "The association's new service not only delivers both, but it takes the extra step of ensuring the editors receive and are made aware of the submissions."

MJSA is making available these experts' services at discounted prices: $80 for a press release and $160 for six product photos.
