Stuller's CounterSketch Studio sold out

More licenses for customization program coming in January

November 13, 2009
Stuller's sold-out CounterSketch Studio program will be available to more retailers in January.

Lafayette, La.--Due to high demand, Stuller and Gemvision Corp. have announced that all available 2009 licenses for CounterSketch Studio (CSS) have been filled, but 500 additional licenses will be available in January.

CCS, a newly developed, three-dimensional jewelry design platform, launched in beta form to a limited number of retailers earlier this month.

Matthew Stuller, chief executive officer, founder and president of Stuller, said the response to the product has been outstanding.

"CounterSketch will revolutionize customization in the jewelry industry," Stuller said in the release. "We're very excited by the overwhelming response we've received from our jewelers that have just completed the initial round of CounterSketch Studio training."

Stuller, a Lafayette, La.-based sightholder that provides a wide range of services for jewelry professionals, offered "beta" seats for the software to retailers at its inaugural Owner's Conference in July 2009.

The beta launch phase is now complete, but the additional licenses will become available in January.

"Even in the developmental stages, we knew CounterSketch Studio would be a success," Jeff High, president of Gemvision, said in the release. "But, we had no idea demand would be so strong so quickly. Given the shortened learning curve for the design software, we must make certain that we maintain licensing within reasonable production levels for Stuller's computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) fulfillment services and Gemvision's support."

Davenport, Iowa-based Gemvision has facilities in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as a global network of authorized dealers providing two- and three-dimensional CAD/CAM software, milling systems and both additive and subtractive prototyping systems.
