JVC, JBT to present memo seminar at MJSA Expo

New York--The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) and The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) will present "The Basics of Memo Transaction--The Dos and Don'ts of Trading on Memo" at the MJSA Expo on March 9.

The seminar will take place from 3:45 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the presentation area at the rear of Hall C in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Attendees will receive a copy of The Essential Guide to 'Memo' Transactions, which was developed to respond to jewelry-industry concerns about the consequences of sending goods on memo.

The guide gives jewelry firms a step-by-step method to best position their businesses in cases of economic reversals and includes information on topics such as consignment agreements and protecting your business in an event of bankruptcy. The guide also includes frequently asked questions and a glossary of terms.
