America's Best Jewelers survey now open

New York--Retail jewelers interested in participating in the second annual America's Best Jewelers (ABJ) survey can now do so online, National Jeweler has announced.

This annual survey is used to create the most comprehensive performance benchmarking in the industry and identifies the winners of the 2009 America's Best Jewelers designation. Recipients of the annual ABJ designation are recognized through National Jeweler, are featured in National Jeweler magazine and in The Wall Street Journal, and become featured participants in the America's Best Jeweler conference program.

New this year, the ABJ survey is being combined with Jewelers of America's (JA) Cost of Doing Business survey to create a single comprehensive survey designed to increase the depth of information collected as well as reduce the overall time commitment necessary to complete the survey.

The combined survey is extensive and has been designed so that a retail jeweler can complete the survey across several visits to the survey site. All retailer data is stored for future access and is completely confidential: It will never be released for anything other than aggregated totals.

"Completing the America's Best Jewelers survey qualifies jewelers to be considered to be designated with America's Best Jewelers status," National Jeweler Editorial Director Whitney Sielaff said. "It's a great feather to have in your cap, especially in these challenging times. More broadly, we and our new partners on the project, Jewelers of America, will use the extensive data collected to benchmark industry operational performance and produce events and informational products that will benefit the entire trade."

The survey will be live from April 13-May 15 at the following Web site, JewelrySurvey09.com.
