New York--America's Best Jewelers, National Jeweler's retailer business-improvement and social networking program, has unveiled its educational conference schedule for the 2009 Couture Show in Las Vegas.

The program will be held as a series of breakfast sessions May 29-June 1 at the Wynn Hotel.

Sessions will be as follows:
- May 29: The Social Media Dashboard
- May 30: Strategies for Compensating and Retaining Key Talent
- May 31: Running Successful Events
- June 1: Ten Creative Ideas for Old Inventory

"This is the third face-to-face event we've produced for the America's Best Jewelers program, and we're developing the sessions based directly on the enormously successful model created for the first two conferences," said National Jeweler Editorial Director Whitney Sielaff. "The concept is jewelers learning from jewelers. We've chosen excellent subjects based upon jewelers' requests and have populated the panels with jewelers who are best able to discuss them and offer solutions."

Panelists for the sessions will include the following:
- John G. Henne, Henne Jewelers, Pittsburgh
- Mike Wilson, Wilson and Son Jewelers, Scarsdale, N.Y.
- Susan Eisen, Susan Eisen Fine Jewelry and Watches, El Paso, Texas
- Scott Martin, Saks Fifth Avenue, New York
- Bill Craig, Craig's Fine Jewelry, Ridgefield, Conn.
- Marc Solomon, Solomons Jewelers, Plainview, N.Y.
- Brian Alter, Alter's Gem Jewelry, Beaumont, Texas
- Michael Littman, Gary Michaels Fine Jewelry, Manalapan, N.J.

The programs are free admission to all members of the ABJ Network, an online community for retail jewelers hosted by National Jeweler. Jewelry retailers can register at www.ABJNetwork.com.

America's Best Jewelers is a groundbreaking program that extends its America's Best Jewelers designation to retail jewelers based on a benchmarking survey that measures operational performance.

Stuller, Arabov Group, The Wall Street Journal, Debbie Brooks and Jewelers of America are program sponsors.
