NYSJA adds benefits via state's Retail Council

November 24, 2009

New York--The New York State Jewelers Association (NYSJA) has announced a new partnership program with the Retail Council of New York State, a collaboration that will allow NYSJA members to take advantage of Retail Council member value programs.

Among the programs NYSJA members can immediately participate in are credit card processing, workman's compensation insurance policy discounts, FedEx shipping discounts, health insurance, and energy and payroll programs.

Through the affiliation, FedEx shipping rates may be discounted by 10 percent to 62 percent, while members will receive a 15 percent savings on payroll processing through E-chs, Inc., according to NYSJA's Web site. The energy program with Energy Plus will enable members to earn cash back on electricity bills, and the workers' compensation insurance carries a strong dividend potential, the association says.

With the new partnership in place, another benefit is that Retail Council membership dues will be reduced by 25 percent for NYSJA members (dues start at $100 and depend on store volume).

Additional NYSJA-specific membership benefits available include a scholarship program, educational area meetings, financial survival planning, educational programs, long-term care, jewelers block insurance, business owners insurance, jewelry insurance for customers, e-newsletters, membership directories, an awards dinner banquet and inventory financing.

NYSJA dues are $95 for the year for one store, and $195 for two or more stores or companies. For more information, call (800) 442-3589 and ask to speak with Nicholl Bautochka or send an e-mail to  NBautoucka@retailcouncilnys.com.
