PGI, Elle magazine partner

September 21, 2009
In this advertorial, which will be published in the October, November and December issues of Elle magazine, PGI-USA is promoting both platinum bridal jewelry and a new series of Webisodes featuring a real-life couple planning their wedding with celebrity-wedding planner Mindy Weiss.

New York--Platinum Guild International USA (PGI-USA) and ELLE magazine have announced a new partnership that includes a comprehensive in-book advertorial and a series of Webisodes featuring a real-life couple planning their wedding.

The in-book advertorial will be published in the October, November and December issues of Elle, and the Webisodes will feature newly engaged couple Shari Vasquez and Mike Directo as they plan their wedding with renowned event planner, author and lifestyle expert Mindy Weiss.

Weiss has worked with high-profile corporations and planned weddings and parties for a wide range of celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Heidi Klum and Seal, and Trista and Ryan of ABC's The Bachelorette.

"The opportunity to watch a real couple work through the process of planning a wedding will engage and help educate consumers," PGI-USA Manager of Marketing Communications Michelle Peranteau said in a media release. "PGI executed a similar concept last year and found that consumers really value advice about engagement rings and wedding bands from experts in the field."

The behind-the-scenes look at Vasquez and Directo's journey begins with a platinum engagement ring from Tacori's Dantela Collection, valued at $3,800 (without center stone).

"Your platinum engagement ring is a symbol of your lifelong commitment, and it sets the stage for the wedding-planning process," Weiss said in the release. "It's a reflection of your personal style that will be carried throughout every detail, from the save-the-dates to the floral arrangements."

Tacori provided the couple with all of their wedding jewelry, including a ladies' platinum band from the Dantela Collection, valued at $3,200, and a men's platinum band from the Crescent Collection, valued at $4,040.

In a consumer giveaway promoted in both the magazine and online, Elle readers can also enter to win platinum and diamond stud earrings from Tacori's Crescent Silhouette Collection at ElleExtra.com/Platinum.
