Winner chosen in Love Story photo contest

August 14, 2009
The photo Adam Marotte took at his best friend's wedding was chosen as the winner in the Love Story Wedding Photo contest.

Los Angeles--The Leading Jewelers Guild has selected Adam Marotte of Chicopee, Mass., as the winner of the Love Story Wedding Photo contest, a competition in which customers and fans of Love Story Diamonds were asked to share their favorite wedding snaps.

"We devised this contest to give Love Story customers and fans a participatory experience on Love-Story.com," Leading Jewelers Guild Executive Director James "Jimmy" West said in a media release. "Our online Love Story Diamond Club members did the final judging and selection of the winning photo."

Contacted with news of his win, Marotte described to Leading Jewelers the story behind his photo.

"I went to my best friend's wedding; he invited me all the way to Utah," Marotte said. "I was so excited, and I took this pic of them right after the ceremony. It was truly a great day for him, and I was so proud of being able to share in it."

As the contest winner, Marotte will receive a pair of Love Story diamond stud earrings featuring 0.5 carat total weight of diamonds and valued at $1,000.

The Love Story Diamonds brand is owned and sold exclusively by members of Leading Jewelers Guild to approximately 140 stores nationwide. The five collections of diamond jewelry that make up the brand are part of a turnkey retail system complete with training, packaging, displays, signage, support materials and an after-the-sale "fulfillment" package.

Each diamond jewelry collection within the brand is inspired by a famous love story. The collections include: "The Romeo in Love Collection," composed of men's carved and diamond bands; "The Only You Collection," based on the story of Claire de Lune and the Count of Picardy, and composed primarily of engagement rings and bridal sets; "The Epic Love Collection," based on the story of Orpheus and Euridice, and composed of designer semi-mounts; "The Legendary Love Collection," based on the story of Tristan and Isolde, and composed of jewelry set with ideal-cut diamonds; and finally, "The Cleopatra's Passion Collection," based on the story of Antony and Cleopatra, and featuring pendants, earrings and bracelets aimed at the female self-purchaser.
