Cultured pearl group elects new officers

New York--The Cultured Pearl Association of America (CPAA) unanimously elected a new slate of officers at its annual meeting during the JA New York Summer Show.

The following officers are now in place: Fran Mastoloni of Mastoloni Inc., president; Peter Bazar of Imperial-Deltah, vice president; Aziz Basalely of Eliko Pearl, treasurer; and Hidehiro Matsui of Matsui Pearl Corp., secretary.

Outgoing two-term president Sonny Sethi gave the new administration his blessing in leading the CPAA into the future.

The Cultured Pearl Association of America Inc. is a nonprofit group founded in 1957 that's composed of the finest manufacturers, wholesalers, dealers and suppliers of cultured pearls in the United States.

Its goal is to cultivate awareness, integrity, demand and successful marketability of cultured pearls among retailers and at the consumer level through promotion, education and public relations.
