Honora partners with makeup brand Bare Escentuals

Offers 'pearl powder,' new pearl jewelry collection

October 29, 2009
Honora has partnered with makeup brand Bare Escentuals on its new "Beautiful in Pearls" makeup kit, and is also offering a new pearl jewelry collection to complement it.

New York--Freshwater cultured-pearl jewelry company Honora has partnered with Bare Escentuals, a leading provider of mineral makeup, to create a new selection of pearl products.

The collaboration was initially inspired by the brands' mutual dedication to high quality, with Honora focusing on only the top 3 percent of freshwater pearl harvests, and Bare Escentuals committed to only using the purest ingredients in its 100 percent-pure bareMinerals makeup.

Bare Escentuals Chief Executive Officer Leslie Blodgett then approached Honora for pearl powder from its freshwater pearls to incorporate into its new bareMinerals "Beautiful in Pearls" makeup kit, with Honora CEO Joel Schechter and President Ralph Rossini following up with a new color collection of pearls called "Barely Blush" to coordinate perfectly with Bare Escentuals newest offering.

"We always strive to introduce new and innovative products featuring our freshwater pearls," Rossini said in a media release. "Having the opportunity to partner with a world-class company like Bare Escentuals to create a new and exciting product is everything we could hope for."

According to Honora, the pearls in the Barely Blush collection represent infused colors of peach, caramel and mocha, which were taken directly from the makeup colors in the Beautiful in Pearls makeup kit.

Pieces in the Barely Blush collection include an 18-inch necklace and a set of three bracelets. There is also an earring style that will only be available through exclusive contests from Honora, Bare Escentuals and QVC.

The Barely Blush Pearl Collection and the Beautiful in Pearls makeup kit will be unveiled on QVC on Nov. 7, beginning with a new "Today's Special Value" from Bare Escentuals.
