Atlanta Jewelry Show readies for August
June 22, 2009
Atlanta--The Atlanta Jewelry Show will return once again to the Cobb Galleria Center this August, bringing to attendees an expanded buyer-services lineup, business-building strategies and the chance to get a first-hand look at the latest product introductions from more than 600 industry leaders and up-and-coming companies.
Retailers attending the Aug. 8-10 show will also find special features such as complimentary gas cards for those who pre-register, plus free daily breakfasts, festive networking events, free seminars and the chance to earn rewards based on show orders.
"As the largest and strongest regional jewelry show in the country, The Atlanta Jewelry Show gives area retailers the opportunity to see the same top lines they would expect to find at other jewelry shows in bigger cities--at a fraction of the cost," Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA) Executive Director Carol Young, an organizer of the show, said in a media release. "We've also worked to develop innovative buyer services and a full roster of seminars and networking events that deliver a complete show experience. So our buyers know that they can stay close to home and still find everything they need to restock their shelves and strengthen their sales and marketing strategies."
Highlights of the August event include the SJTA U keynote address, which will be helmed by Jeff Hargett, corporate director of Learning Content Delivery for the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. In a seminar titled "Radar On--Antenna Up. Fulfilling Customers' Unexpressed Wishes," Hargett will explain subtle nuances of delivering excellent customer service in a consistent manner.
Attending seminars such as the keynote will help retailers to more quickly achieve SJTA Certified Jeweler status, a designation that lets area customers know a store is committed to ongoing education and quality customer service. To achieve SJTA Certified Jeweler status, retailers must attend two Atlanta Jewelry Shows per year and at least two seminars per show.
As a break from buying and learning, SJTA will host a beach party event on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel Ballroom. The summer-themed event is free and includes complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
Finally, SJTA continues to pass out the awards through everything from SJTA Reward points, earned for every dollar spent at the Atlanta Jewelry Show; to the "High Flying Buyers Club," which provides retailers who have earned 15,000 SJTA Reward points or more special badges, access to a "no-waiting registration counter" and access to complimentary breakfast, lunch and snacks in an exclusive lounge; to the "Tanks On Us" program, by which pre-registered retailers receive a complimentary gas card.
