Lectures announced for Dallas jewelry show

September 29, 2009

Dallas--The Palm Beach Show Group has announced the lecture series line-up for the inaugural Dallas International Art, Antique and Jewelry Show debuting this fall.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sit in on talks presented by an all-star group of knowledgeable and respected speakers, including jewelry seminars helmed by Camilla Dietz Bergeron, founder of New York-based estate jewelry business Camilla Dietz Bergeron Ltd.; and William Noble, founder of William Noble Rare Jewels.

The show, the latest to debut from producer The Palm Beach Show Group, will bow Nov. 5-9 at the Dallas Convention Center.

The lecture series is free and open to the public, with individual lectures set to take place twice daily at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3:00 p.m., Noble will helm a seminar titled "Buying and Selling Estate Jewelry" in which he will share his insight to the best sources and venues for purchasing estate pieces. Noble counts over 24 years of experience in the jewelry trade, and his Texas business claims the largest new and estate inventory in the Southwest. Since William Noble Rare Jewel's opening in 1983, Noble has sold some of the most rare and valuable pieces of jewelry in the world.

Bergeron's seminar, "From Stocks to Rocks," will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9. A former Wall Street investment banker, Bergeron founded Camilla Dietz Bergeron Ltd. in 1989, buying and selling antique, period and estate jewelry. Bergeron will discuss her transition "from stocks to rocks," as well as the most important aspects of buying and selling estate pieces: time period, stones and how to price.

Additional seminars to be held during the five-day show will cover a wide variety of topics, including 19th-century furnishings, imperial treasures from the Qing Dynasty, the American Arts and Crafts movement, antique silverware and Tiffany Favrile glass.
