JCK Luxury, Premiere show trimmed to three days

Norwalk, Conn.--Show organizer JCK Events has announced that the Las Vegas-based Luxury and Premiere show will take place over three days rather than the previously announced four days.

The new dates for the by-invitation-only show are set for Wednesday, May 27 to Friday, May 29 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.

"After very careful consideration of the economic market and after talking to both manufacturers and retailers over the past several weeks, we have recognized that three days, instead of the previously announced four days, of a high-end show will better accommodate retailers' 'open to buy' in these challenging times," JCK Events Vice President Yancy Weinrich said in a media release. "Our priority is to continue to support and facilitate the buying/selling dynamic, yet with current consumer demand affecting retailers' inventory levels; we want to minimize any additional financial and time-constraint pressure on our customers."

In the media release, organizers added that they are working with vendors in Las Vegas and have been successful in lowering hotel rates, including rooms at the Venetian and Palazzo.

"We will continue to refine and redefine what retailers and manufacturers want at this year's JCK events," Weinrich said. "We will deliver the same level of service that our customers have come to expect now and in the future as the JCK Events are the global jewelry industry's stage and platform to maximize connections."
