JCK Las Vegas 2011 to move to Mandalay Bay

September 08, 2009

Norwalk, Conn.--JCK Events has announced that its JCK Las Vegas show is moving to the Mandalay Bay in 2011.

According to JCK Events Group Vice President Dave Bonaparte, the organization conducted extensive customer research before making a final decision on the new location, including having more than 80 of the show's largest exhibiting companies and organizations--representing more than 500 domestic and international customers--visit the Mandalay Bay in July to voice their opinion.

"More than 90 percent expressed support for the move," Bonaparte said in a media release. "After that, it was a matter of determining if we could meet retailer needs with the right date pattern. The existing date pattern is the one that works best for our customers, and Mandalay Bay was able to accommodate our timing."

The Mandalay Bay offers a state-of-the-art convention facility, with an improved overall exhibiting environment and an easier move-in/move-out process. There is also a range of hotel properties with a variety of price points, including the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel, the all-suites THEhotel and the newly renovated Mandalay Bay. There are also more moderately priced hotel options next door to the Mandalay Bay, linked by tram and an enclosed walkway. In addition, the Mandalay Bay campus includes 22 restaurants, bars and clubs, which will make casual networking easier and enhance after-hours business.

The American Gem Trade Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers Association, Luxury, Plumb Club, Prestige Promenade, Swiss Watch and the Vicenza Oro Italian Pavilion were among the first to support the move and sign up for the 2011 show, according to event organizers.
