JA New York hopes to re-ignite jewelry industry
April 08, 2009
New York--With new, innovative and exciting initiatives, the JA New York Summer Show hopes to help jewelry retailers and exhibitors gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Attendees at this year's show can expect new pavilions, networking events, informative educational seminars, cutting-edge general sessions and special features. Some of the show highlights include:
--More than 1,000 major jewelry designers and manufacturers are expected to showcase their designs at the Couture Pavilion, Designer Showcase, Inner Circle and New Designer Gallery. In addition, a number of unique companies from more than 20 countries will showcase their latest merchandise.
--More at-show discounts with the At-Show Promotion Program, which helps exhibitors promote discounts and special offerings on the show floor. Retailers will be able to discover hidden gems and discounts that will make their buying experience more pleasurable.
--Building on the success of its inaugural event in July 2008, the fourth America's Best Jewelers Retail Benchmarking Symposium and Awards Presentation will take place during the show, bringing together more than 100 distinguished retail jewelers. Combined with other cutting-edge JA New York programs, this peer-to-peer event will give retail jewelers access to the metrics and key business practices that translate into high achievement and success in the retail jewelry business.
In addition, among the new tools at this year's show will be a multi-faceted, retailer-testimonial-themed marketing campaign, featuring insights from veteran JA New York retailers. The campaign will be featured in various industry publications to promote the JA New York Summer Show.
According to JA New York Marketing Manager Julianna Chu, these retail jewelers exemplify how the JA New York shows are vital to their businesses, and why they have been attending over the years.
Retailer participants include:
--Mark and Candy Udell, London Jewelers --Luna and Jonathan Zemmol, The Yellow Door --Marc Green, Lux Bond and Green --Seth Bloomgarden, Belenky Brothers --Tara Silberberg, The Clay Pot
"We are doing everything we can to bring innovative ideas to the Summer Show, from promoting the importance of New York City as the jewelry capital to adding innovative and market-driven topics on the show floor to help attendees stay ahead of market challenges," JA New York Show Group Director Drew Lawsky said in a media release. "The Summer Show is one of the most anticipated shows in the industry, and we are excited to be able to continue to offer unique business opportunities to retailers, exhibitors and to the media."
