Signet exec to present WJA Hall of Fame Award

New York—Terry Burman, group chief executive officer of Signet and chairman of Sterling Jewelers Inc., will present ABN AMRO bank's Anna Martin with the Women's Jewelry Association's (WJA) top honor, the WJA Hall of Fame Award.

Martin is senior vice president and regional manager for ABN AMRO, the diamond industry's largest financier.

She will join a group of extraordinary women who, since 1985, have been recognized with the WJA's Hall of Fame Award.

Burman will present the award to Martin at the WJA Awards for Excellence gala on July 29, during the JA New York show.

"I am very honored that Anna asked me to present her with the WJA Hall of Fame Award," Burman said in a statement. "Our industry is rich with exceptional women in all segments, but there are few who have made the mark that Anna Martin has in the world of lending to the jewelry industry. As an innovative business woman and an industry leader, she is truly deserving of this significant award."

In addition to the presentation of the Hall of Fame Award, the WJA gala event will also feature the announcements of the Awards for Excellence winners. Members of the jewelry industry, spanning a variety of sectors, including fine-jewelry and watch design, marketing and communications, sales and retail, will be recognized for their outstanding achievements.
