MVI offers jewelers Web-development services

Paso Robles, Calif.—North American consumers are doing more jewelry shopping and pre-purchase research on the Internet than ever before, according to MVI Marketing Ltd.

MVI's research, conducted through its Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council division, also confirmed that this trend is now a way of life for many consumers.

"Very few retailers are opening new locations these days except on the Web," Chief Executive Officer Marty Hurwitz said in a media release issued on Tuesday. "They know that the Web is where the sales growth will come over the next few years, as well as the next decade."

To help retail jewelers maximize their Web efforts, MVI Marketing, through its acquisition of technology company Itech Solutions, is now offering complete Web-development services for fine-jewelry brands and retailers.

In addition, MVI will conduct a free "Web review" and submit a recommendations report to retailers and product brands in the jewelry and watch industry for a limited time.
