JIC honors eight former chairs

New York—The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) honored eight of its former chairs in recognition of their years of dedicated service to the organization.

The honored chairs included: James C. Clark of B.C. Clark, 1980-1983; Mickey Low of B.F. Hirsch, 1984-1987; Ralph Destino of Cartier (currently with the Gemological Institute of America), 1992-1994; Laurence Grunstein of Citizen Watch Co. of America, 1995-1996; Gary Gordon of Samuel Gordon Jewelers, 1996-1998; Steven Kaiser of Kaiser Time Inc., 1999-2003; John Green of Lux Bond and Green, 2003-2006; and Myriam Gumuchian of Gumuchian, 2006-2008.

The honored chairs helped increase industry awareness and membership for the organization, as well as assist with the JIC's mission to help stimulate consumer desire for fine-jewelry products by the use of creative and timely promotions.

"It is my true honor and privilege to serve in the same position as the great men and woman who have led the organization in the past," current JIC Chair David Bouffard said in a media release on Friday. "Their important contributions to the growth and achievements of JIC are inspiring. On behalf of the entire board, it is with great pride and pleasure that we congratulate and thank each for their leadership."
