New York—The winners of the 19th annual National Jeweler Retailer Hall of Fame, which honors jewelers who have made substantial contributions to the growth and success of jewelry retailing, have been chosen.

The winner in the single-store independent category is Woody Justice of Justice Jewelers in Springfield, Mo., who established his retail jewelry business in 1984.

For the multi-store independent category, the winner is Marc Fink, president of Fink's Jewelers, a family-run operation established in 1930, which now has 14 locations throughout Virginia and North Carolina.

In the Majors category, the winner is Michael Kowalski, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Tiffany and Co., which was founded, famous blue box and all, back in 1837.

Hall of Fame winners are selected each year by a panel of their peers. Each winner will be profiled in a special supplement to the August edition of National Jeweler.

The winners will also be honored at the National Jeweler Retailer Hall of Fame dinner, which is held on July 28 in conjunction with the New York State Jewelers Association awards dinner. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 80 Columbus Circle at 60th Street in Manhattan. For more information on the dinner, send an e-mail to Barbara Blaskowsky at barbara.blaskowsky@nielsen.com.
