IJT launches online 'e-guidebook'

Tokyo—Visitors to the upcoming International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT) show, to be held in late January 2008, will now have the opportunity to plan their time beforehand through IJT's new online catalog, the "e-guidebook."

Buyers who visit the newly created Web site, IJT E-Guidebook, are able to search for a wide range of products under such category listings as diamond jewelry, pearls and watches, and can also refine their search by sorting out new and rare products, special IJT discounts and more.

Buyers also have the ability to search for information such as booth numbers and product details, and uncover products located within particular zones of the show, such as the newly launched Watch World Zone, which will feature watches, watch-related products and services from France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Switzerland.

Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd. and the Japan Jewellery Association, organizers of the Jan. 23-26 show, say that the new e-guidebook will help visitors to more easily navigate the show, an opportunity that makes sense given IJT 2008 will take place on a record scale, with 1,670 exhibitors from 38 countries and an expected 38,600 visitors.

Visitors to the show will find an ever-expanding lineup of exhibitors, including major industry giants from Japan, such as pearl enterprises Tasaki, Takahashi and Eiko Pearl, as well as country pavilions from Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Thailand and more.

In addition to the new Watch World Zone, the ODM/OEM Zone and the Jewellery Reform Zone will also launch at IJT 2008, joining such established zones as Diamond World, Design World and Gemstones Plaza.

Finally, two awards ceremonies will serve as event highlights: the Japan Best Jewellery Wearer Awards, a ceremony and reception attended by Japan's leading celebrities and public figures, and the second-ever Bridal Jewellery Princess Awards, an event to increase consumer demand for bridal jewelry.
