Former Belair Time sales manager dies at 71

Lakewood, N.J.--Saul Rosenfeld, Belair Time Corp.'s former national sales manager, died earlier this year, the company announced recently.

He was 71.

Rosenfeld spent his entire career in the watch industry, starting as a vault clerk for Croton Watch, quickly rising through the ranks to become one of their top salesmen.

In July 1991, he joined Belair Time as a regional sales manager, responsible for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Rosenfeld quickly built the area into Belair's top-producing region and was appointed national sales manager in 2004, serving in that position until his retirement.

A "salesman's salesman" who was respected by his peers and trusted by all, especially clients, Rosenfeld's dedication and expertise were well-known throughout the industry, and jewelers valued his opinions.

He spent years honing his skills, and customers enjoyed it when Rosenfeld paid a visit to their stores, bringing with him his wealth of knowledge, keen wit and great sense of humor.

He never lost sight of the concept that when his customers were successful, he was successful.

In 2006, he retired after 50 years in the industry to spend more time with his wife, Harriet.

He spent the remainder of his years traveling with her and enjoying his children and grandchildren.

Even after he retired, Rosenfeld would call into the office to talk about a watch he'd seen, or a store that could potentially be a new customer, and he always was quick to help, teach or contribute.

"His passing was a tremendous loss to all of us who knew him, and his charm and incredible energy will live forever within our hearts," Belair Time stated in a release.
