'Poetry' book chronicles Van Cleef watchmaking

New York--This December, Van Cleef and Arpels will debut The Poetry of Time, a visual anthology of the famed French jeweler's history in the craftsmanship of fine watchmaking and as a purveyor of haute timepieces.

The hardcover book chronicles Van Cleef and Arpels' storied evolution, from the unique, inspired watches of its earliest days, to its emerging classics that now cover categories spanning from enameled tourbillons to poetic complications to high-jewelry watches and beyond.

Included in the book is a photo collection of the company's watches and the inspiration and technical methodology behind the creation of each piece.

In addition, Van Cleef and Arpels includes contributions from world-renowned experts in the field of horology, including Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie President Franco Cologni and philosopher Michael Serres.
