Philip Stein to debut first store in Americas

Miami, Fla.--Luxury goods innovator Philip Stein is set to open the company's first store in the Americas in fall 2009.

The space, located in Cozumel, Mexico, will provide a unique retail experience, combining a casual shopping environment with an education in Philip Stein's Natural Frequency Technology, which is embedded in the company's luxury watch collection and in its revolutionary Wine Wand.

According to Philip Stein, customers who enter the store will be "immersed in a 360-degree natural frequency experience" (said to balance Chi, or the state of well being), where they will not only see and "feel" the power of Philip Stein products, but will have access to imagery, video and messaging to educate them on these unique elements. They will also be able to view testimonials from wearers of Philip Stein products who report better sleep, less stress, enhanced performance and reduced jet lag.

The Philip Stein store will also offer freestanding counters that eliminate the barrier between the retailer and its customers, thus providing a more personalized shopping atmosphere. Plasma screens will be mounted on poles attached to each display counter to run informational videos on the technology behind the brand. To highlight the various design elements of Philip Stein, LCD screens have been integrated into display counters to demonstrate the endless, interchangeable watchstrap options. The watches and Wine Wands will also be suspended above the customers within wave-like windows, which connote the natural frequencies utilized in the products.

"As much as Philip Stein is devoted to creating luxurious timepieces and superbly-crafted lifestyle products, we are committed to introducing consumers to the benefits of natural frequency technology and how they play in our lives," Philip Stein President Will Stein said in a media release. "It is our hope that consumers become ambassadors for the brand, well-being and technology."

Stein added that the city of Cozumel offered the right business opportunity for Philip Stein: a bustling tourism and retail center, and a similar philosophy on mind-body wellness.
